Architecdura walls meet the energy code requirements of very cold and hot climates, without adding additional insulation, while remaining structurally sound. Because the external and internal structure of a panel runs parallel to the EPS and is bonded to it, ATD panels eliminate thermal bridges by separating internal and external structures using expanded polystyrene, but at the same time creating a much stronger ensemble. This results in a much higher R-value.

In traditional structures (brick, traditional steel frame, and wooden balloon frame) air infiltration is also a problem: it is caused by gaps in the building envelope, frames, electrical chases and pipes. Air infiltration can reduce thermal efficiency up to 30%. Luckily, with a ATD wall, air infiltration is almost nil.
